Summer Style Faves

Summer Style Faves (1)

I have always loved style, and fashion; however I’ve always been too stingy to pay for new clothing to keep up with trending styles. WELL THAT CHANGES THIS SUMMER. I have been living the “treat yo’ self” mentality when it comes to my closet.

We recently moved which gave me an awesome opportunity to do a closet overhaul. I ditched everything I don’t wear, and everything I only tolerate wearing. Max had to remind me that I need to keep some of it so that I don’t drain my bank account restocking my closet or have to go to work naked. I’m also not 100% ready to rebuild my closet portfolio because I’m focusing on weight loss. And I don’t really want to drop a bunch of money just to have to do it all over again. But! I did decide to splurge on a few trending items that make me feel really good about myself. Because that shit is important.

So here are a few of my fave summer style finds!

Madewell Texture & Thread Tie Front Tank
I’ve seen this top on all different shapes and sizes this summer, and it looks BOMB on everyone. There’s a pretty big difference between sizes however. I was definitely between sizes but opted to get the larger size for a looser fit. I don’t like things clinging to me when it’s a million degrees outside.

Target Sheer Kimono
I’ve been pretty late to the kimono game thinking that I couldn’t pull it off. But let me tell you, ANYONE can pull this shit off. They are so comfy and wonderful for hot days when you need something a little more than a tank. I wear mine to work all the time. I couldn’t find my exact kimono I picked up at Target but the one I linked is very similar!

Old Navy Love For All Sweatshirt
This is my summer obsession. These are the most lightweight, comfy sweatshirts of all time. I just saw that they’re on sale online (down to $9.60 from $32.99) and bought two more colors… oops. The Love For All literally just ran out in regular sizes but they have them left in plus size. I linked one of the colors I just ordered!

Madewell High Waisted Denim Cutoffs
I can’t believe I’ve lived this long without these shorts. They are so flippin’ comfortable because they have so much stretch to them. But they’re also crazy flattering which has to do with Madewell’s pocket design. I don’t usually spend this much on shorts, but let me tell you, they are so worth it.

Madewell Pull-On Shorts
Sticking with my newfound love of Madewell, these shorts have not disappointed. They are the best kick around shorts you’ll ever own. They are stupid soft and can be worn high waisted or mid rise. These beauties are for sure true to size and come in 6 color options!

Topshop Button Through Cami
This is such a great staple to have in your closet. I just love how much you can do it with it: dress it up, dress it down, pair it with high waisted shorts, or jeans and a cutie cardi headed into fall. Definitely worth having to suffer with a strapless bra.
